I believe emotions can enrich and add meaning to our lives while simultaneously causing pain and discomfort. Sometimes life sucks and feelings get messy. I am here to remind you that emotions are a part of being human and that it is ok to feel all of them.
As your counsellor, I can help you through the process of untangling your emotions. I provide a safe space to explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. As I follow your lead, I'll offer guidance validation, and teach you valuable skills. Together we will create a plan that allows you to reach your mental health goals.
I make every effort to ensure counselling feels comfortable, supportive, and as laid back as possible. Movies and TV often show therapy as a very formal and somber experience. Don’t get me wrong, counselling can be challenging, as it allows space for uncomfortable emotions, thoughts, and memories. However, counselling can also be enjoyable and transformative. It provides opportunity to see ourselves, needs, and wants more clearly.
In my sessions, I use honesty, humour, and empathy to empower you to rediscover the strength thats already within you.
